Experience: I have taught adults and children at a variety of levels, ranging from Beginners to Advanced. These classes have targeted all the skills required for language development and I regularly liaise with my students to plan lessons. During my previous role as a teacher in a summer school I enjoyed connecting with the students on a more social level, sometimes taking advantage of my understanding of other languages. In my current role as a General English teacher in a busy central London language school (accredited by the British Council) I am responsible for all areas of my students’ tuition, from making weekly plans to invigilating and marking exams. I am required to hold monthly progress reports and meetings with my students, which enables me to better understand their particular weaknesses and concerns and address them in lessons. I have also taught specific modules aimed at improving students conversation skills and pronunciation.
