Since I joined Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in spring 2014, I have been tutoring O-levels and A-levels Students in economics, accounting, basic math, English as a second language and business studies. The students I taught are typically seeking assistance in preparing for mid-terms and final exams, although some simply want additional assistance throughout the semester to better understand the subject matter. In fall 2015 I also began tutoring students through IBA's National Talent Hunt Program, which provides academic and financial support to students throughout Pakistan from underprivileged socio economic backgrounds who gain admission to IBA. This focuses on preparing students for IBA's entrance exam, which is one of the two merit-based requirements for admission. The exam is similar to the SAT and the ACT in terms of its content and structure. Tutoring through this program has been a great experience - I think its important for elite institutions such as IBA to provide opportunities to underprivileged students seeking admission to undergraduate and graduate programs.
